This was my first attempt to scale the mountain. That time I made it only half way
up, to Camp Muir, where I gave up due to bad weather (and exhaustion).
Somehow due to the weather, two experienced climbers died on the very same route that day. I do not really understand why, because I did not encounter a sudden and severe snow storm. Maybe it was shortly after my descent.
My next attempt was in July 2006,
and I summited on the third attempt in August 2006.
